|About the Book|
An embarassing and enlightening litany of American Indian mistreatment. I found especially compelling the primary sources: letters, please, and other documents written by Native Americans and those that treated with them from the 1760s to 1960s. Vogel opted for a curious exhibition format where each sort section is numbered and presented with little commentary as an exhibit in a legal case, or something. This does make it easy to break off the small chunks of this large book to get through the large tome.
